Privacy policy
1. The security of user data is paramount
Ayuviva respects the privacy of all users of the website and the online shop (hereinafter referred to as ‘the customer’ or ‘customers’). This Privacy Policy forms the basis for the processing of personal data and provides information about which user data of customers is collected by Ayuviva, how this data is used and what rights customers are entitled to. Ayuviva complies with the applicable data protection laws and processes personal data solely for the purposes for which it was transmitted.
These data protection provisions are regularly adapted, supplemented or amended. The latest version applies each time the website is accessed or visited.
Should there be any contradictions between this data protection declaration and the otherwise applicable contractual or business terms and conditions of Ayuviva, the provisions of this data protection declaration shall take precedence.
2. Type and purpose of the data collected
The term ‘personal data’ or ‘personal data’ includes information that can be used to personally identify customers.
The processing of personal data refers to any form of use and processing of personal data, such as the collection, storage, use, disclosure, transmission or deletion of data.
Ayuviva collects personal data in two ways: automatically, when the customer interacts with the website or uses the online shop, and manually, when the customer actively provides data (e.g. by making contact or opening a user profile).
2.1 Data that is collected automatically
When visiting the Ayuviva website, statistical visitor data is automatically collected that shows which parts of the website are visited by the customer. Each time a website is accessed, the web server automatically saves a server log file with, for example, the name of the requested file, the customer's IP address, the date and time of access, the browser and operating system used and the requesting provider (access data). This data is analysed to ensure trouble-free operation and to improve our offer. In some cases, cookies are used for this purpose (see section 4).
2.2 Data when interacting with Ayuviva, for contract processing and when opening a customer account
Ayuviva does not collect any personal customer data such as name, address or e-mail address without active notification by the customer. Personal data is collected if the customer provides it voluntarily when placing an order or contacting us (e.g. via contact form or e-mail). Mandatory fields are labelled as such, as this data is required to process the contract or enquiry. Without this information, the order or contact cannot be processed.
If the customer creates a customer account, the data collected will be used exclusively for the purpose of using the online shop or the respective offer. In addition, Ayuviva may use the customer's e-mail address to inform the customer about changes, such as changes to the scope of the offer or technically necessary adjustments.
After completion of the contract or deletion of the customer account, the data will be restricted for further processing and deleted after expiry of the statutory retention periods, unless the customer has consented to further use. The customer account can be deleted at any time by sending a message to the contact address given below or via a function in the customer account.
3. Legal basis for the collection and processing of personal data
The legal basis for the processing of personal data depends on the respective purpose and includes:
- The legitimate interests of Ayuviva, provided that the interests, fundamental rights or freedoms of the customer are not unreasonably impaired;
- The conclusion or fulfilment of a contract; or
- The consent of the customer at the time the data is collected. This consent can be revoked at any time by sending a message to the contact details listed below.
4 Use of cookies and use of data
4.1 Cookies
Ayuviva uses cookies to make the website more user-friendly. Cookies are small pieces of software information that are stored on the customer's hard drive to facilitate the use of the website (e.g. for language selection and shopping basket).
Some of the cookies are deleted at the end of the browser session (session cookies). Others remain on the end device and enable the browser to be recognised on the next visit (persistent cookies). The storage period can be seen in the cookie settings of the web browser.
Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can deactivate the storage of cookies in the settings of your web browser.
4.2 Use of the data
Anonymised data collected via cookies when visiting the Ayuviva website can be used for analysis purposes and to optimise the website. Ayuviva may use third-party providers such as Google Analytics for this purpose.
Google Analytics
Ayuviva uses Google Analytics from Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google processes the customer's IP address without linking it to other Google data. Further information can be found in the Google privacy policy.
5. Newsletter
If the customer registers for an Ayuviva newsletter, the data required for confirmation and delivery will be collected. The customer can object to this use at any time and unsubscribe from the newsletter by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link in the newsletter.
6. Disclosure of your data
Ayuviva only passes on customers' personal data to third parties if the customer has consented or if this is required by law. If service providers are commissioned to process the data, we oblige them to comply with the same data protection standards.
7. Data security
Ayuviva works with IT service providers and Internet providers who take appropriate technical and organisational security precautions to protect the customer's data. However, any data transmission is at your own risk.
8. Your rights to information and cancellation
Every customer has the right to inform Ayuviva at any time that their personal data should no longer be used. Information on the processing and a copy of the data collected via the website can be provided on request.
